Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar watch for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger and got one from their official flagship store. Let me tell you about the whole process.
First off, I went to the store. I wanted to see this beauty in person before I committed. It’s a serious purchase, you know? The watch is just stunning. I tried on the stainless steel one with a deep blue dial. It’s 39 mm in diameter and super thin, only 9.2 mm thick. Really nice on the wrist, not bulky at all.
The staff there, they were super helpful. They showed me the different variations. I was torn between the blue one and the silver dial version. They also had one with an eggshell beige dial, which looked really classy. I mean, who knew watches could be so fancy?
I did a bit of research before going, just to make sure I was getting a good deal and it is indeed a good brand as people said. Apparently, Jaeger-LeCoultre is a big deal in the watch world. They’re known for making high-end Swiss watches. I guess I have good taste, haha!
The whole thing about this watch is that it’s a “perpetual calendar.” Sounds fancy, right? Basically, it means the calendar is super accurate and adjusts automatically for the different lengths of months and even leap years. I won’t have to mess with it, which is a huge plus.
Here’s what I did:
- Went to the official store to check out the watch in person.
- Tried on different variations of the watch.
- Talked to the staff and got all the details about the watch.
- Made the purchase (my wallet is definitely lighter now!).
The details
The case is made of stainless steel, which feels really solid and well-made. The dial is a deep blue color with a sunray-brushed finish. It catches the light in a really cool way. The bezel is polished and shiny. And the lugs, these are the parts that connect the watch to the strap, they’re elongated and give the watch a sleek look.
I ended up going with the blue dial version. It just spoke to me, I guess. I took it home, carefully unwrapped it, and put it on. It felt amazing. I’ve been wearing it every day since.
So, yeah, that’s my story about getting the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Calendar. It was a bit of a splurge, but I’m really happy with it. It’s a beautiful watch, and I feel like a million bucks when I wear it.
