Okay, so, I got really into watches a while back, and there’s this one brand, Jaeger-LeCoultre, or JLC as I call them – they make some pretty cool timepieces. I especially dug their Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire model. But, you know, they’re way out of my price range.
So, I thought, why not try to find an imitation? I mean, I just wanted something that looked like the real deal, not to scam anyone or anything. I started searching for them online. Looked at a bunch of websites, compared them, read reviews, you name it. Some of them looked pretty sketchy, honestly.
I finally found a few that seemed okay. I ordered them from them and was pretty happy when they arrived. They really looked like the original Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire.
I remember reading somewhere that the original is made of pink gold. When my imitations arrived, I noticed that their cases were also pink. I was like, “Wow, that’s a nice touch!”

My Journey to Imitate a JLC Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire
After getting the watches, I spent hours just staring at them. I compared them to pictures of the real JLC online. I even watched some videos about the original watch. I wanted to see how close my imitation was to the real thing. It is fun doing this. They were almost identical in design, but I knew there’d be differences. I mean, one’s a luxury watch, and the other is, well, not!
So I’ve been wearing my imitation JLC around, and you know what? I feel pretty good about it. It looks nice, it keeps time, and I didn’t have to sell a kidney to get it. Plus, it’s been a fun little project. I’ve learned a lot about watches, about JLC, and about the whole world of imitations. It’s been quite a ride.
