Okay, so the other day, I decided to try and remake that PRADA Medium Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag, the one I saw at the specialty store. Man, that bag is sleek, with those simple lines, you know?

I started by gathering all my materials. I had some Saffino leather lying around from a previous project, so I figured I could use that. Then, I got to work cutting out the pieces. Now, this bag is made up of 83 different pieces. 83! Can you believe that? It took me a while, but I managed to cut them all out. I carefully marked each piece, so I wouldn’t get them mixed up later.

Next, I started assembling the bag. This was the tricky part. I had to sew each piece together carefully, making sure everything lined up perfectly. I used a heavy-duty sewing machine for this, ’cause I wanted to make sure the stitches were strong and durable. It was slow going, but I took my time and made sure each seam was perfect.

  • First, I sewed the front and back panels together.
  • Then, I added the side panels.
  • After that, I attached the bottom panel.

Once the main body of the bag was assembled, I started working on the handles. I carefully measured and cut the leather for the handles, and then I sewed them onto the bag. This part was a bit tricky, ’cause I had to make sure the handles were evenly spaced and securely attached.

Finally, I added the finishing touches. I attached the PRADA logo, which I had carefully crafted. And then, I added a lining to the inside of the bag, to give it a nice, finished look.

The Result

It took me a few days, but I finally finished my remake of the PRADA Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag. And let me tell you, it turned out pretty darn good! It’s not an exact replica, of course, but it’s pretty close. And honestly, I’m really proud of how it turned out. It’s a classic design, and I think I did a pretty good job of capturing that classic look.

This whole process taught me a lot about bag making, and about the craftsmanship that goes into these designer bags. It’s definitely not easy, but it’s really rewarding to see the finished product. And who knows, maybe I’ll try to remake another designer bag sometime soon. But for now, I’m just gonna enjoy using my new bag.
