Okay, here’s my story about getting a high imitation Rolex New Green Submariner, the classic style.
So, I’ve always been a watch guy. Not like a super fancy, knows-all-the-details kind of guy, but I appreciate a good looking timepiece. And the Rolex Submariner, especially that green one, the “Hulk”, man, that’s a real looker. But dang, those things are expensive! Way out of my price range. I’d have to sell my car and maybe a kidney to afford one. So I thought, “There’s gotta be a way to get that look without going broke.”
I started digging around, asking friends, looking online, you know, the usual. And I kept hearing about these high imitation watches. Some folks said to just save up and buy the real deal, but I’m not about that life. I just wanted something that looked good on my wrist, you know? I’m not trying to fool anyone, just want that classic style.
So I found this one online seller, and they had a bunch of these high imitation Submariners. I was nervous, not gonna lie. I mean, you hear stories about getting ripped off, getting a watch that falls apart after a week. But I took a chance, figured, what the heck, it wasn’t that expensive. I ordered one, the green one, of course, and waited.
It took a while to arrive, but when it finally did, I was pretty surprised. It looked good, really good. It had that same green bezel, the same kind of band, even the little magnifying glass thing over the date. It felt solid, too, not like some cheap plastic thing. I’m not gonna lie, I was impressed.
I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, I’m happy with it. It keeps time well, looks great, and I didn’t have to sell my car to get it. Now, I know it’s not a real Rolex. It doesn’t have all the fancy insides and it’s definitely not gonna be worth more money later. I heard somewhere that the real “Hulk” increases in value like 10% a year or something crazy like that. This one? Probably not. And I heard they only made like 200 real “Hulks”, so those are super rare.
- Is it a real Rolex? Nope.
- Does it look like one? Yeah, pretty darn close.
- Am I happy with it? You bet.
My two cents?
If you want that classic Submariner look without emptying your bank account, a high imitation might be worth considering. Just don’t expect it to be the real thing. It’s like a good cover band – they play the hits, they sound good, but they ain’t the original. But hey, sometimes that’s all you need.
