Alright, so I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface. You know, the one that looks like it came straight out of the 1930s. It’s a watch I’ve been eyeing for a while, and I figured it was time to treat myself.
First off, let me tell you, this thing is sleek. It’s not bulky at all. I measured it myself, and it’s about 40.1mm long, 24.4mm wide, and only 7.56mm thick. It slides right under my shirt cuff no problem. I was a little worried it might look too dressy, but honestly, it looks pretty darn good even when I’m just wearing jeans and a polo shirt. I even rocked it with sneakers the other day, and it didn’t look out of place.
The whole flipping mechanism is pretty cool. You can just flip the face around to show the solid case back. Kinda fun to fidget with, and it’s supposed to protect the watch face, which is a nice bonus. I guess these watches were originally designed for polo players back in the day, so they had to be tough.

Now, I did a little research before buying it, and apparently, these Jaeger-LeCoultre watches are supposed to hold their value pretty well. I’m not planning on selling it anytime soon, but it’s good to know that it’s not just a pretty face, it’s also a decent investment. So, yeah, I’m pretty stoked about this purchase. It feels good to finally have a Reverso on my wrist. I guess I’m just a sucker for that old-school charm.
