Alright, so I’ve been messing around with this YSL June Box Bag idea for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. Started out just browsing, you know, window shopping. I saw this bag and thought, “That’s cute, but it’s way out of my price range.” But then I started thinking, “What if I could make one myself?”
So I did some digging. Found a bunch of pictures of the bag online, studied them like crazy. Front, back, sides, the whole deal. Took notes on how it’s put together, the stitching, that little YSL logo, everything.
Next, I went on a hunt for materials. Had to find some good leather. Not too stiff, not too soft. And the color, had to be just right. Then there’s the hardware, that little metal thingy that holds the flap down. Took me ages to find something that looked similar. Found a decent one at a local market finally, after weeks of looking.
Then came the hard part – putting it all together. I don’t even know how to sew properly, but I figured it out as I went. Watched a few tutorials online to help me with some techniques. Lots of trial and error, let me tell you. I ripped out so many seams, I lost count. My fingers were sore, but I was determined. I even tried to copy that diamond-quilted pattern they got on the original. That was a nightmare to get right!
But you know what? After a whole lot of sweat and a few choice words, I finally did it. I made my own version of the YSL June Box Bag. It’s not perfect, nowhere near as polished as the real one, but it’s mine. And I’m pretty darn proud of it.

It is what it is, guys. A fun little project that kept me busy for weeks. And hey, now I have a cute little bag that looks somewhat like a designer one, and I didn’t have to sell a kidney to get it.
