Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing the Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag for a while now. It’s just so darn cute and stylish! But, you know, the price tag is a bit…ouch. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own version. Yeah, you heard that right, I went full DIY on this one.
First things first, I hit up the internet to do some research. I needed to figure out the dimensions, the materials, and just the overall vibe of the bag. I scoured through tons of pictures, read product descriptions, and even watched some unboxing videos to get a good feel for it.
Next, I went on a little shopping spree. I grabbed some faux leather that looked pretty close to the real deal, some gold-tone hardware (gotta have that bling!), and some suede-like fabric for the lining. Oh, and of course, I picked up some thread and a few other sewing essentials.
Now, the fun part – putting it all together! I started by cutting out the leather pieces based on the measurements I had found online. I’m no expert sewer, so this took a bit of trial and error, I will not lie. Let’s just say there was a lot of seam ripping involved, haha.
After getting the main body of the bag sewn together, I worked on the drawstring closure. I used some of the gold-tone hardware to create little eyelets for the drawstring to go through. Then, I attached a single adjustable shoulder strap, just like the original Mon Tresor. And, I also made a shorter handle for hand-carrying.
For the inside, I lined it with the suede fabric. The Fendi one has an interior pocket, so I added one of those too. It’s not the prettiest, but hey, it’s functional!
Finishing touches included adding a little “F” charm to the drawstring, just for that extra Fendi touch. I know, I know, it’s not the real thing, but it’s close enough for me!
And there you have it – my very own, handmade Fendi Mon Tresor Bucket Bag! It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. Plus, I saved a ton of money, which is always a win. Now I can rock that bucket bag style without breaking the bank.

My Takeaway
Honestly, this was such a fun project! It was challenging at times, but also super rewarding to see the finished product. Now, if any of you guys are thinking about doing something like this, just go for it! It’s a great way to get the look you want without spending a fortune. Just be prepared to make a few mistakes along the way, it’s all part of the learning process.
